« Last post by Claus Eisenschmid on August 21, 2010, 11:05:01 PM »
Our club will host a CAPA judging course on November 27 at Alexandra Hall.  This is a full day event (8:30am until 5:00 pm).
Allen Bargen will run the course and it is open for all CAPA members or members of CAPA clubs.  As it is going to be widely advertised we expect the 50 to 60 seats to fill quickly.  Allen will hold 15 seats for Crescent Beach club members until October 15.
The course fee is $113 (including $13 HST)
It is recommended that participants bring their own lunch.

« Last post by Admin on April 22, 2010, 07:31:12 AM »
Summer Theme:

If you missed it at the last meeting, I wanted to let you know the club "theme" for the summer-----the theme is something to keep in your mind during those long summer months when the sun does shine (it will, honestly---it will),

The theme is "The Fruits of Summer"

to be interpreted any way you like----summer berry picking comes to mind---jamming---tree fruits, children enjoying all that summer has to give us-----you have until August 30th to get that perfect image and I will announce when I will want them, early in September-----remember you can submit three images to club themes, sized at 1024x768---for sizing instructions please see the website at http://www.cbpc.ca/

Have a good summer everyone-----Lynne Kelman/ Club themes

Camera Hardware Questions and Tips / Canon G11
« Last post by Frantz on April 17, 2010, 08:08:14 PM »
I am wondering if anyone owns a Canon G11.  The reviews are generally very good and here is a third party review if you want to look at it and comment:  http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canong11

Being a novice photographer I  would appreciate any feedback before I consider buying the camera.  The fact that it shots in Raw and JPeg and the lens is 28mm. to 140mm. seems like it would be a good intermendiate camera at $467 U.S. with Amazon.com .  Is that good value for the money?

Thank you  for your comments.
